'Shifting Perspectives' Stand at Salone del Mobile

Inspired by the Case Study Houses Program of 1950s Californian modernism, #PedraliShiftingPerspectives is an installation with a strong architectural character that reinterprets its formal elements in a contemporary way. The exposed grid of beams and columns defines the space with a precise geometric rhythm, while the flat, seemingly floating roof emphasizes horizontal development and visual continuity. Lightweight, dynamic partition walls reduce the sense of enclosure, strengthening the connection between indoor and outdoor spaces and revealing new perspectives, while lowered ceiling areas create more intimate and welcoming zones. The landscape design, seamlessly integrated into the architecture, enhances the relationship between people, nature, and the built environment. Indoor and outdoor settings flow into one another through a palette of warm, earth-inspired tones, guiding visitors along a fluid, coherent path that pays homage to the past while offering a vision for the future of living.
Ispirato al Case Study Houses Program del modernismo californiano anni ’50, #PedraliShiftingPerspectives è un allestimento dalla forte valenza architettonica che reinterpreta in chiave contemporanea i suoi elementi formali. La struttura a travi e pilastri a vista scandisce lo spazio con un ritmo geometrico preciso, mentre la copertura piana e apparentemente sospesa enfatizza lo sviluppo orizzontale e la continuità visiva. Pareti divisorie leggere e dinamiche riducono la percezione di chiusura, favorendo la connessione tra interno ed esterno e creando nuove prospettive, mentre abbassamenti del soffitto definiscono aree più intime e accoglienti. Il progetto del verde, integrato con continuità nell’architettura, rafforza il rapporto tra uomo, natura e spazio abitato. Ambienti indoor e outdoor si susseguono in una palette di toni caldi ispirati alla terra, accompagnando il visitatore in un percorso fluido e coerente, omaggio al passato e visione del futuro dell’abitare.
